A couple of my wife's sisters want to go up to Smith/Morehouse on the 24th. I've never been there. What kind of boating facilities are there? I have a 14' boat with a 20hp gas engine on it. Can I launch and putt around the lake with it? If I do, what works for catching fish? Thanks for the help.

They have a pretty decent ramp, and you can putt around all you like, as long as you keep it wakeless speed.
As far as fishing goes, the usual stuff for planter trout in the Uintas.

Great campgrounds on both ends of the lake if they aren't taken already. Excellent ramp and parking area. Pretty country. Great camp hosts on upper camp ground last fall.[cool]

[#002850] Two seperate campgrouds ... one at each end of the lake ... one is named "Smith & Morehouse" but I don't know what the othe one is named.
Take lots of Pather Martins.
Here is a very good set of directions from Ogden: [/#002850]

Excelent ramp and great fisihing, a 14' will have no problems launching. I was up there last weekend and the fishing was awesome. Good enough to keep two kids occupied and me busy. We did very good for rainbows and tiger trout using standard worm rigs from the shore. Kept a few good sized ones as well.
Camping this weekend will be non-existent if you have not made reservations.
