Who else fishes on top of the slop?

How many of you fish matted duckweed or other types of emergent weeds, commonly referred to as SLOP?

Being a shore fisherman, it's one area a lot of guys seem to shy away from...not sure why, but there's nothing quite like a big bas blasting a hole in the slop to get at your bait.

I know I can't pass by a good weed bed with out tossing a frog,beaver, or brushhog. Some trips I'll sit in the middle of a Lilypad bed and catch them for an hour. Great fun that top water action.

I especially like it when there is an isolated chunk of "slop," I call them bass hotels because they seem to hold quite a few fish.[/size][/#ff4040][/font]
