Anyone fish the Starv over the long weekend? Went with my Dad on his old boat and had our share of motoring problems. As a result, we couldn't fish where I wanted to go and only fished within close proximity to the boat ramp.
After several hours of attempting, I caught the only fish, a small perchette.
Very busy with the vacationing crowd out in force. Spoke with a few other fisherpersons and didn't hear of anyone catching anything in big numbers.
Anyone else have any better luck? Hope so.

Prince,
My buddy Matt (majja) and I camped at Starvation on Friday night at the Indian Flats campground. We did not have reservations, so we were stoked to get a spot on the water. We had never fished this lake before so we went on the info that we had seen on this board before. We launched out of Rabbit Gulch, I on my toon and Matt in his tube. The breeze made it tough but not bad. We fished the south side of this arm of the lake near some submerged islands/points (signified by bouys). We found action on perch to 12 inches on bait-tipped jigs and mini spinner rigs (like a walleye spinner). Only caught one walleye (about 5-6 inches) and several diminutive smallies. At one point the perchies were schooling right below us in water only 6-8 feet deep! It was a good time until the wind blew us off the lake. We ran into "highndry" (?) and his wife. She was holding the biggest perch I have ever seen! Looked to be 14 inches or so! "Highndry", if you're out there...please confirm!
We'll be back soon!!!
Kevin
P.S. Saw a couple boats anchored up on the north side of Rabbit Gulch near some rocky shoreline just across from the island we fished. They must've been there for hours. But they were too far away for us to see if there was any action.
