Looking for Large Mouths!!
#1
Please chime in with your favorite Idaho places to find LM bass. Could use some input from experienced bassers. I have always been a trout man but then i caught bass fever this year so its like learning to fish all over again.

Let me know, Thanx,,,

Currently I don't have a favorite place to fish for LMB. Most of the LMB that I've caught have been the the small reservoirs in the SE region.

Try fishing the Payette River below Black Canyon Dam in Emmett. This spring we did really well for Large mouths, but it mostly has small mouth bass. Anywhere downstream using plastic jigs or crankbaits should catch small mouth bass. (Try crawfish colors) I just love to catch SM in rivers. I was watching 2 guys catch a bunch tonight below the dam while I was working. I'd recommend lake lowell for LM from a boat if possible.

Lake Lowell in the spring and Owyhee Resevoir just across the border in Oregon has some nice LMB fishing. Both places fish best from a boat.

Dudes ... Largemouth Bass are all over this state!

Where do you live?

The Snake River has some nice greenfish as well as smallies.

Paddock Reservoir (Payette) has some toad greenies in there.
Lake Lowell (Nampa) Hosts some serious events in the spring and that is mainly a greenfish lake.
Brownlee, CJ Strike, Milner, Walcott, Preston Area, American Falls, The "Western" part of the Snake River (Farewell Bend & Huntington), Lake Owyhee outta Vale Oregon, Lake Cor'Dalane(sp) (Northern Idaho).
You just have to stop at any lake or river you run in to and you can catch Greenfish. PM Me and I can be more specific.

I fished Oster lakes in Hagerman when i lived up there and had good success. Probably 13 years ago. Another place i had good luck was Dirkies lake in Twin Falls.
