Daniels Res. iced over?
#1
Would like to get my boat on Daniels Res. this week, wondering if it's still possible, and how much ice is covering the res. Thanks for an update on conditions.

I don't know if it is, but if I had to bet I would say that it has some ice on it. Might be questionable to walk on but I don't think you could fish it from a boat. Keep in mind this is just a guess.

Maybe someone else with up to date info will post a response.

The sinclair on the south side of the road in Malad has the best Daniels info i could find in the past. Not sure of the phone #, but they can tell you. The guy that works there fishes it alot.

Fished Daniels today.
Ice is unsafe in many places.
My son fell through the ice on Monday. This was by the South end.
Today we drove to the North end where the ice is better, but it had open water all over the shore line when we came back off the ice about 4:00pm.
The water temp was 37* when we started and 41* when we left. The ice lost about 1" of thickness while we were there.
I will wait for some cold weather before I go back again.
It was evry slick and scarey today.

Thanks for the update. The warm weather is one of the reasons that I didn't go check out American Falls a couple days ago. I heard American Falls has some ice on it but I'm not walking on thin ice when the temperatures are as warm as they have been.
