Drove passed East Canyon today on the way home from hunting. It's about 85% capped. The only open water is from Taylor hollow north about 1,000 yards. There are some big pressure braks out in the main body but they looked like they had refroze. I talked to some guys who were fishing at Taylor hollow, they said the fish they caught were just dinks and the ice was 4" but it thinned up across the bay to 2". You can see some places where the lake has froze in stages, so make sure you check thickness if you go out. There were only about 10 guys out on the ice in 3 places. The plows have not done a good job and most of the road in from Morgan and around the lake is snowpacked with very few pull outs.
