Birch Creek/ Woodruff 12/30
#1
We did the double header on Saturday. We hit Birchcreek first to try for some big Tigers or anything that would bite the hook. We fished for about an hour and a half and didn't even get a nibble. Luckily, we had Woodruff to fall back on. We headed over there and to my dismay there were about 20 vehicles! I have never seen so many people at Woodruff in my life. Anyway, once we got on the ice we watched as people were catching fish left and right. We couldn't figure out what they were hitting so we tried everything in the box. As a last result my friend threw on some salmon eggs and was ripping lips the rest of the day. We all threw some on and the fish catiching began! Unfortunately, we only had an hour before sunset. We ended up catching about 10-12 fish all in the 12-14 inch range and I landed one that went 16 inches and had beautiful colors. The big one seemed like a different species of cutt than the others. Anywho, it was a pretty good day.
