Went to Pineview today with my cousin (N.E.T.O.'s Cousin). Fishing was slow, we only caught 1 Crappie and 3 Perch. It was pretty slow mid morning, and my cousin was napping. (Heater going in the ice shack) I carefully and quietly reeled up his line, hooked my empty Diet Dr. Pepper can right to his swivel, and sunk it. About 20 minutes later he woke up and decided to check his bait. He really started getting excited, it was a LOT heavier than the Crappie he caught earlier...I was crying. He thought he had a Smallmouth Bass or aTiger Muskie on! When he got it up to the hole I couldn't breath I was laughing so hard. I thought he was gonna know it was me and be mad, but instead (he is so gullible!) he just said "What are the odds of me hooking somebodys Diet Dr. Pepper can...and look!, it somehow got attached to the swivel even!!" I thought he was joking but he really believes that he somehow hooked a pop can ON THE SWIVEL and reeled it up...I just went along with him, I was just about passed out about then. He says he has never seen me laugh so hard that I was crying...
HEY ARRON, IT WAS ME YOU IDIOT!!!

Took my little one up this afternoon for a little ice fishin'. Man the wind really sucked tonight! We didn't stay long because of the wind. We put a couple of Crappie on the deck, but it was pretty slow for the short time we were there.

Sure do love the pop can trick!! The victims sometimes feel bad but it sure is funny to me. I just say, "well I had to liven you up a little!" The best one for me was when I got my wife last year even though she was using my fish finder and asked what that big black line was that was heading down. I just said that it was a fish going to check out her jig and to get ready. It was great! I even got her to cuss at me while swinging the can from her pole.

[black]Thought that looked like you near that green quickfish shelter. Hard to tell with all the people that were there. I think we could of crowded a few more in if everyone could of slide together a little tighter. CBR and I rode my snowmobiles down to the narrows from the marina. The fishing was slow but we did manage a few nice crappie and perch. The wind ripped through in the afternoon trying to take everything with it and the snow was coming down hard when we left around 5:30 pm.[/black]

In playing tricks it must be helpful to have a cousin who takes naps while he is fishing. I know who to keep an eye on if I ever let him in my ice shack again.
