I don't get too cold very often, but today at Pineview I cried uncle. I am not a big fan of fishing in a tent, but I would have been more than happy to get into one today.
The fishing for my small party of three was very slow. My bro-in-law had all of the action; two small perchies and a crappie. Oh well, there will be other chances.

Where did you access Pineview, I want to go up Sunday mid morning. I would like to get on in th enarrows.

We were on the north side of the narrows. After turning off the dam we pulled off the road about a half mile from the dam and there happened to be a small trail that led to the ice.

The other cold thing about the Pineview Narrows is that even on a sunny day the sun only shines about 2 hours in the Narrows.

Boy am I sure glad that I wasn't the only one cold. I was worried that the crowds would be heavy, but I thought that I would try it anyway. Hey, it still beats being at work.

These were diehard guys along with several others in the narrows then who had nothing but their backs to protect them from the wind and stinging snow . What they lacked in equipment they made up with heart![/size][/black][/font]

] Sorry about the slow fishin for ya. That area has been hammered this year. When I went with Pat we really had to move around and get away from the crowd to have good success. Good luck on your next trip.
] I chatted with good ol Craig (cbr)but you were hiding in your tent. Can't believe you guys took the snowmobiles out!!! I was there when those folks thrashed around like beached dolphins on that water and slick slanted ice at the edge just two days before that. Sure it was cooooold but I can take it....lol. Fish biting keeps me warm.....lol. I've dealt with worse at Mantua. Now that place is BONE CHILLING! Well, it can be anyways. It's gonna be some serious cold next week though. Wherever you go.
