90% of Jordanelle north of Hailstone had a skin of ice on it this morning. 9* when I went by although it is supposed to warm up before the big snow storm, but after that the bottom is supposed to fall out of the thermometer. I have no idea about rockcliff (don't drive around that way). I'm sure we will loose the little skiff of ice that is there now, but the lake is ready and the next cold snap should make it stick for good.

I just did a search of my old posts and January 10th is when I first reported seeing skim ice on Jordanelle last year so it seems to be right on shedule.

Great news! I'll be waiting to hear when Rock Cliffs has frozen farther out (over the deeper water). If anyone knows, please let the rest of us know.

I drove past Deer Creed today and its is about 50% iced over. A good wind will take it off but the cold weather that is coming should do the trick!

[#0000ff]I also have recipes for Manhattan style and corn chowder dishes. Then, there is perch and noodles, shrimp rice stuffing, Po Man's Shrimp, and lots of other ways to fix perchies. Any body for "Perch-chiladas"...Mexistyle.[/#0000ff]

Latest update. Jordanelle ice blew off yesterday afternoon and did not refreeze last night. Might be for the best though if all of the snow falls on open water before the cold spell refreezes everything.
