Strawberry 1/10/07
#1
[Smile] Fished Strawberry Bay today west of the ramp. In 30 to 20 feet of water. Not many fish on the finder, I think think they slither along the bottom and take your jig. Did a little better than on New Years day. Iced 8 fish, one 21 3/4 in. mostly 18 - 20 in. My friend got 6 fish. Ice is 8-10 in. people are taking sleds and wheelers out but still to thin for me. A guy on a sled came from the south side of the bay to see how we were doing. He said they weren't doing much better. He also found some slush that he got bogged down in.
The morning was a great day to be on the ice. Wind started up at 11:00 am. Glad I went today!

Thanks for posting your report, too bad the catching was so slow. What kind of bait and jigs were you using? WH2

We were using mostly assorted white tubes and other jigs with a meal worm. Did catch one on a green jig.
