cracked seats

Does anyone have any advice how to avoided a cracked seats on a ATV or snowmobile in this extreme cold while ice fishing??Also how are the slush conditions at the berry this week can you still use ATV's up there to get around??

[font "Comic Sans MS"][black][size 3]The snow conditions are minimal at the Berry. 4" - 6" so 4 wheelers can go anywhere. There are pockets of slush but nothing to worry about.[/size][/black][/font]

It's been my experiense that as a seat gets older it will become brittle and not a lot will change that. I have tried Armorall and other treatments and after a few years, the seat will still crack. Keep the seat out of the elements as much as you can all year round is the best thing thst you can do for it.

Exposure to the sun is one of the worst things for the seat. The cold does not help of course. But if you even keep a towel over the seat that helps keep the uv rays off and will preserve the seat longer.

The ATVS are stored in my garage all the time,I was just wondering if there was anything you could do to keep them from cracking in the extreme cold.
