Hey Folks, I was wondering if any of y'all could give me some tips/advice for fishing the gorge. I am going up there this weekend for the first time to try for some macs. I have read on here that tube jigs tipped with sucker meat are working. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

I was up there the last weekend and I caught four and had several more on and my friend caught four and had probably another 15 on. They were not big, we are going out again this weekend. Tube jigs and sucker meat is the way to go. If you have a fish finder drill a hole and look for fish if you don't see anything leave that spot, don't even try to fish it. you want to be in 55-90 feet of water fishing all depths, but mostly the bottom, however we caught our biggest one at 25feet in 50 feet of water. Any more questions feel free to send private message.

Word is going around here at work that some locals deposited a snowmobile, with a sled, power auger and some fishing gear at the bottom of Linwood Bay last weekend. Don't know how true it is, but with this weather you might want to be careful if your using a machine to get around.[pirate]
