Out in front of the Marina there is a big preasure ridge that you will need to go around if you park there.
Not much snow on the ice.

I fished off the Antelope side on Saturday, and conditions appeared good as far as I could see. It was pretty warm, especially for the Gorge. There's a big pressure ridge, stretching from Antelope to Lucerne, but I saw several anglers going back and forth across it. The ice was a good 10 inches with about 2 inches of snow on top. There was some rain early Sunday morning and later in the afternoon. It puddled up some places on the ice, but its spotty. It's back to 15 degrees in Flaming Gorge country this morning, and back to preserving ice! Good luck!

Thanks for the update Ryno, glad to hear the temps are getting cold again. Could you see if anyone was fishing Lucerne from where you were at? How did you do, any fish over 10 lbs?

There was a lot of activity on the Lucerne side of the lake. I saw quite a few snowmobiles and ATVs buzzing around. I had a pretty tough day, so I don't have much to report. I started in deeper water, fishing some humps rising to about 85ft. I had one hit and marked a few other fish there. After a few hours, I moved shallow as a change of venue. I even fished for a couple of hours after dark. I had one on, and lost it before the hole in 35 ft of water. I ended up icing a 24-inch laker right before pulling my gear, around 8:00pm. Both fish hit an active, 3-inch, 1/2 oz. tube tipped with sucker meat. Not much of a success story, but a good weather day on the ice.

The Dirt road to the beach is the best way if your walking or on a ATV. Hopefully the Macks will turn on for you, because last saturday the Macks didn't seem interested in anything that we or anyone else used. We didn't see any Macks caught there Saturday morning, but they could turn on at any time.
Good luck!

Thanks for the info Ryno, we are planning on coming up there this weekend and wasn't sure if we should fish Swim beach or Lucerne. The problem with Swim beach is, most of it is on the Wyoming side, so special permits are required to take the ATV on the ice there. Good to hear you didn't get skunked, were you marking more fish in the shallow or deep water?

I actually marked quite a few fish out deep. I was actively jigging a couple of feet from the bottom in 85 ft of water. The fish responded and rose off the bottom to look at my bait. Then they would simply reject me, and descend back to the bottom. Exciting to watch on the graph, depressing to know you've been rejected! Good luck out there!
