Anvil Fishing
#1
It was a tough drive Monday to fish Anvil Draw. The day Flaming Gorge got better with a few fish being caught but it was slow. The ice is "ok" but an open water gap is opening up out there that would swallow the unsuspecting so caution should be the rule. Fish were caught on tubes, smoke and christmas, smoke and red flake, rainbow trout, and a couple on a crawdad imitation. All with sucker meat and crawdad smelly jelly. The fish didn't like shad or bait fish smelly jelly and with the exception of the crawdad, bit on 3 inch or smaller tubes. going out to work on my boat, open water time is getting closer, but not near close enough.

I was wondering how you guys did, sounds like a better day than it was on Saturday. Maybe we should try Big Bend, if we get a chance before ice off.
