Ogden river 3/22

Flaycastin and I headed over to the Ogden again and fished for a couple hours. The fishing was a little slow at first then we found out we were following a guy for about 200 yards. Once we got away from all the anglers we started catching fish. We landed about 15 between the two of us, mostly on rapalas. Would have been better if all the green heads would have stayed out of the good holes.

nice pick,s. keep pitchin them rapalas sooner than you think you will have a real pick with a big ol hook jaw brown next to yr name. nothing like watching the gold bullets dart from hiding and pound it. you guy,s keep it up.

Oh, that's not a "real" mallard by the way. I know this is irrelevant to fishing, but just noticed your pic. That duck is a feral mallard. One of those decendents from domestic ducks released into city parks. Over the generations, they become more slender and mallard like, but they are not migratory greenheads in that sense. It is obvious from it's shape and plumage color. And the fact it let you get that close for the pic. But I guess the only reason I know this is cause I'm really into waterfowl. However, I don't shoot them though.

You got that right! There was at least 30 ducks in just about every hole! Made for some impossible fishing.
