DC, Rockport, Weber

Jacksonman and I took the afternoon off to go on a fishing adventure, despite the fact that many assingments are due in the next week. We first went to Deer Creek in out float tubes We launched at the river inlet and got no more than 30 feet from shore when the wind picked up fierce. We turned roght back around and left. Wasted an hour there. We then went to Rockport, or he outlet from the lake I should say. Jacksonman brought out a nice big brown, maybe 18'', beautiful colors. He pulled out one more in the next 45 mins. then we left to see if we'd have better luck by Echo on the Weber. The lake was very high compared to what it's been when we've gone previously (us Provo folk don't make it out there much) but we each took a rainbow home. Thankfully I avioded the skunk with a McGyver rig I put together. Basically a nightcrawler on a jighead, since I left the essentials in the car. Thankfully it worked. We were also asked for lincenses. We both have them, so no problems, but it was a remote area and the first time for either of us. Slow day, but still fun. If Jacksonman took photos of the fish at home, maybe he'll post them. Otherwise, sorry for not having pics.
