[Smile]We made a trip to lake powell on monday, got to lake powell at midafternoon set up camp and went fishing, it was real windy so we went to a cove on thenorth side of bullfrog caught three largemouth and some nice crappie. Called it a night. Tuesday was a beautiful day we fished moki canyon,forgotten canyon,hansen creek, and knowles. We caught alot of walleye,crappie,sunfish.smallmouth, strippers and even a catfish it was a great day most fisdh caught on tubejigs. Wendsday we fished hales creek canyon caught lots of crappie and smallmouth and fished the east side of bullfrog bay and caught more walleye and strippers. Thursday we fished halls again and more crappie,walleye,smallmouth and strippers later we fished bullfrog and caught a ton of smallies and strippers, had to head home what a great trip it will only get better from here on out. WAter temp was not quite 60 .

Thanks for the report, I'm headed down at the end of the month! Sounds like you got into a lot of Walleye and crappie, that is great! I have never caught a lot of either while down at Lake Powell. WHat is your secret? Or was it timing?

Sounds like and awesome time. Just gets me even more excited to go here in a couple weeks. Looks as thought there is going to be about...............................EVERY BFT'er down at Powell this month, so we should be seeing some good reports from down there. Did you happen to snap a couple photographs or no? Tube Jigs huh? Size? Color? Any other info you would like to give up?[sly] Thanks for the report and hopefully my group and I have the same success here in 17 Days!!!

We had a good fish fry one evening it was super good. We caught most of the fish on craw colored tube jigs 21/2 inches long the kind i use are made buy strike king. We also caught alot of crappie using 3 inch root beer colored grobs right on the bottom in 15 feet of water. I hope this will help you it all could change the bass are just about ready to get on their beds. Good luck
