How important is your peak to peak watts on a fishfinder?
#1
I am wondering how important is the peak to peak watts on a fishfinder. Looking into getting a new finder and am wondering if 800 is enough.

I love to jig for lake trout at Fishlake and Flaming Gorge.

So I want to get something good enough to show the detail I need but not break the bank.

Thanks for your help guys.

Alot of guys say bigger is better! I myself would go more then 800 watts. I have had an eagle320 with 1500 watts and it did pretty good and you can pick one of them up for aobut 150 bucks. I have had a lowrance x135 with 4000 watts and now have the x97 and i belive it has 2500? and i see no differnce in the two both work great but the eagle is a good unit for the $$$ Just my 2cents.
