Just a quick report since we are going fishing again in 4 hours for Treasher Sharks off Dana Point on our boat. Went to Huntington Harbor today with Ryan to do some float tubing. Got there around 7pm and fished 7:30-11:30pm. I caught 8 fish(3 spotties/5 sand bass) and Ryan caught 5 sand bass I think. All fish except 2 caught on small plastics, other 2 on dead squid. Also lost a couple real nice fish that came unbuttoned. Didnt fly fish at all, cuz we just wanted to check things out. Looking to go again during the week and next weekend!

Nice job bro. I seems like this will be an epic year for Threshers. They are all over Long Beach area and up to Ventura County.[cool]

[cool][#0000ff]Good report. Kinda gives me a twinge. I used to live in Orange County and fished all along the coast. Really miss the salty stuff.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]About the only time I didn't miss California fishing was when I lived in Southern Arizona...and made frequent trips down to the Sea of Cortez.[/#0000ff]

[cool][#0000ff]Nice. Those threshers make good "swordfish steaks".[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Again, please keep the file size down on the pics. Should be no more than 300 - 400 KB. Those with dialup service take two days to download your 1 + MB pics.[/#0000ff]

Let me check the tide table for Cherry in 2 weeks. That way we can see how long of a ride we could have.
It shouldn't matter too much in the Harbor but it will dictate the wind factor. The wind isn't much of a problem either since it usually kicks up in the afternoon and as you are well aware, it blow us back to shore.
I have a new DC# I will Pm it to you.[cool]
