Rpt: 6/12 Tubin Tuesdays

Got the tubes ready and Ryan met me at my house at 2pm and we headed to Huntington Harbor for our normal Tubing Tuesday. Got there and launched about 3pm.

For the next 5 hours it was pretty wide open from the bridge to the 3rd red bouy. We fished with small grubs and 2-3 inch green plactics for spotties, sand bass, yellowfin croaker, and halibut.

I ended up getting 35 fish with 75% being sandies, 1 halibut about 16", 1 yellowfin croaker, and the rest spotties. None of my fish were that big, with the biggest going about 16". Ryan got around 25 fish, and about 75% of his were spotties and the rest sandies. But his grade of fish was alot better. He got alot of fish that were 15"-18". Will try and post pictures later tonight or tomorrow. We float tube every Tuesday evening from about 3-9pm if anyone ever wants to join your more than welcome.

[cool][#0000ff]Sounds like a fun trip. The fish don't hve to be huge to be fun...especially if you use tackle proportionate to the size of the fish you are pursuing. A lot of those small bay bass hit hard and fight "twice as big as they are".[/#0000ff]
