The Colorado Division of Wildlife and the Bureau of Land Management are advising river users that portions of the Loma Boat Launch will be closed Monday, July 9 until Friday, July 13. The closure will include the parking area and temporary closure of the access road. The ramp is located on the Colorado River near Fruita.
Workers will be grading and re-graveling the road and parking area in order to improve safety and enhance the facility for users. The launch area itself will remain open, while periodic delays may be incurred while using the access road.
The Loma Boat Launch is owned by the Colorado Division of Wildlife and operated by the Bureau of Land Management through a memorandum of understanding.
