I floated the Snake a couple of years ago. Pretty much the same as in Utah I think.
Oars, and must wear a LIFE JACKET of sorts. [signature]

I thought I had heard the toon needed to be 9'. Maybe it was just one of them rummor things.

I don't know that I would feel comfortable in anything smaller. Heck the new tube is 9'.....Hummmm.[
] You could be right, but I can't remember if it was 8'. [signature]

I have floated the southfork on my 6ft toon and was stopped at a check point on the river. They did not say anything about the length. However, that was last year I don't know if they changed things up for 07

I know that several rivers in Utah do not stipulate length, only that you can get your feet out of the water. That is why the H3 can work (although I don't know that I would try that) and a paddle.

Going back several years, dealing with the state of Idaho, related to the licensing of a Utah boat in Idaho was very frustrating. Before I got an answer, I talked with everyone but the Governor of Idaho. It has been my experience that even though Utah is about 100 years behind the times, Idaho is about a decade behind that. Usually I have found that the state of Idaho has not addressed most concerns dealing with tubing/tooning, even though most tubing started in that state. I would recommend that you go to the Idaho Government web site, and see if you can find regulations dealing with watercraft. [signature]

Good poiny Saberfish. I do know you can through an inner tube in on a lot of waters and just float. I would think the restrictions if any will be the white waters like falls and coming out of dams. I don't know bought you but I ain't crazy enough to try any of those waters even with my Cardiac. A drift boat a different story.

FG, I know you have seen Dave's DVD. I think you could get through that whitewater on that cardiac [

I know the boat would make it, it is me that is the question. I have run a drift boat and that was Fairly easy, so I might be okay.[pirate]
