Commission meeting goes on the road to Camden
#1
LITTLE ROCK - Commissioners from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will be doing something they haven't done in 28 years - hold their regular monthly meeting at night. On Sept. 13, the meeting will be held at Camden beginning at 7 p.m. at Camden Fairview High School.

Commission chairman Sonny Varnell of St. Paul, said that he wanted to move the meeting to the evening in hopes of getting a good crowd to attend. "This will provide an excellent opportunity to share our information with outdoorsmen concerning some of our ongoing management programs and regulation setting process," Varnell said. "We welcome everyone in south Arkansas to come by and see how the process works," he added.

The commission will also be in town that day to dedicate the opening of the state's newest wildlife management area. A ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Moro Big Pine Natural Area WMA will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Champagnolle Creek Access on Calhoun County Road 29.
