[black][size 3]I really like the looks of his power and controls, but hanging chest deep in a old fashioned round float tube doesn't appeal to me.[/size][/black]

[size 3][/size] [size 3]The trolling motor, if turned around, and mounted on a pontoon would be convenient. I suspect that there will be a lot of interest in the motor and controls.[/size] [size 3][/size] [signature]

		[cool][#0000ff]If you want a motorized craft, get a boat.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]I have tried just about everything or at least observed others using something like that. It is a nice novelty, but it is not suited for my preferred style of tubing...hands free and hassle free.[/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]About the only people who buy those things are newbies or those with physical challenges who cannot kick well enough to propel themselves. And, I don't know of anybody who has continued to use them after a few trips.[/#0000ff] [signature]

Seems that would make more sense on a Pontoon than a Floattube.

I bet it's a lot more hassle than it's worth...I could be wrong though. [signature]

For @100 bucks you could get a nice set of fins. That would be more practical and easier on the maintenance.[cool]

Right you are POKY. I have one that has only been used a couple of times and will make you a sweet deal.

Contrary to what people might think, this is a way cool invention and I used mine all the time till I did buy a pontoon (that is the one Poky has) They are a little work. Car tube so need that appropriate inflation but small enough to pack inflated. It will work on any tube and even the smaller Pontoons that get a little A$$ heavy eith a battery. They strap on the side and pull you like a little tugboat. You want it up next to your tube/toon however, and you steer with your flippers. I started off using this with a doughnut and that was a trick cause you do have to be in a little bit of water for the prop, but then to climb into a doughnut with flippers was a trick. Now with the new "V"'s and "U"'s it is a piece of cake. Easy to transport (even with your deflated tube) and easy to work....BUT! you will have to license your tube. I even thought of hooking it on my H3, till I got the Navi. [signature]

... I do agree with you.. feet up.. line in the water.. relaxing.. maybe watching a game on that satellite tv.. a thick steak on the grill .. and a cold beer in hand that came from your small refrigerator on board your toon.. now .. Id have to say that it could not get any better than that...

I only have 100 sq cm of cooking space on my onboard grill. I had to leave room for the side smoker and the Hibatchi.

You probably forgot that in Cali, we also use a tortilla warmer too. Don't forget to get the Silverstone fish grilling basket. It is non stick and you can just put it in the on board Dishwasher. If you don't have room for the dishwasher than just use the prop wash behind the the 150hp motor.[cool] [signature] |
