I didnt get a chance to make it up to the Preston area this week, but noticed that we got some snow down here (Utah, Ogden area) and was wondering if the Preston Area got some snow too? Did it do anything to the lake levels around the area? I went by Glendale on the 23rd of November and you still could not launch a boat (no need since you could cast across the lake). I guess I can admit that I am really anxious to get back up there with my boat no matter when it is (this year next year), just hope the water level stays higher than it did this summer.

I heard it had some ice and some open water on it a few days ago. This last rain storm melted the snow below 7000' in Pocatello. Preston is normally warmer so I wouldn't be surprised if Glendale is currently ice free. Maybe someone that has seen it first had can give you some better information. Good luck if you get out.

I wish I had better info, but what I do know is as of today, Foster for the most part was ice free. I would expect the rest of those lakes in that immediate area to be ice free also. Treasueton and Condie could go either way. I'll be up that way on Saturday. I'll let you know what I find out.

I haven't been down there lately but I'm sure the water level is coming up. Unfortunately the snow pack and precipitation is well below average for mid December. The Bear River Basin is currently 38% average for Snow Pack and 63% for precipitation this water year. It is still early in the winter so there is still time to make it up. Hopefully el nina puts above average snow pack in the mountains.

A lot of people ice fishing Treasureton this weekend.- Condie has ice- 2 inches or so. Condie has springs it will fill as will the rest of the Preston area lakes - now how they stayed fill will be dependent on Mother Nature- no that's not Al Gore in Drag.
