Lake Mead Friday Night.
#1
Friday, 12/14/07- Hit the water with my pard, Don, at about 4:30pm. Light wind, light chop. Filled the live wells, in the dark, with shad pretty easy at Las Vegas Wash. Headed to the Saddle Cove area, wind came up making it cold and rough. Tried to fish near the floating outhouse but boat control was impossible. Should have went home. Headed to Hemenway instead. Crossing Boulder Basin on a dark, cold, rough night is fun.[Tongue] Found calm water behind the marina, near the big paddlewheeler. Fished for awhile without any success. Moved to the tires outside of Lake Mead Marina. Set out underwater lights, chummed a ton with chopped up shad, and started putting live shad to work. Action was slow, nine small stripers in the box when we untied the boat at 10:30pm.

Wish I had a boat with a cabin, glad there is a heater in my truck.

One word for ya, BaySport....houseboat. It definitely gets really cold out there in Dec and January but I'd rather be there than here any day. Have a Merry Christmas, and I look forward to receiving more reports as I will live vicariously through you.

Best regards,

Paul
