do you catch Bass?
I know most of you fish and report on stripers, but how often if ever do you catch bass?
Thanks,
Tim

I always go out for stripers. Only caught a few LMB over the last couple years and it was by accident while fishing for stripers. I've also caught really small LMB in my cast net at Ls Vegas Wash.

Ill start fishing for bass in late march or so, when its nice and warm. I like topwater fishing, so I only start targeting them when they get real active. Id say, on average, I might catch 5 to 10 a month during the warmer months when Im throwing poppers and spinnerbaits.

Hi MyersT,
I've caught several LMB and SMB using cut anchovies. Always during the day...and always off the bottom. Good luck!
Best regards,
Paul

We are always fishing for bass. Since July/August have ignored any striper bite - unless I am targeting big striper's on swimbaits.
We were thinking we were on to some Mead smallmouth - that idea disappeared in last 3 weeks. Now, we'd just like to get bit!

I haven't been as much as I would like, but the last 2 trips last monday and about a month ago, I have managed a few fish, small stripers mostly, my boat was out of comission, bad gas fouled carbs, I am now a Honda Trained Carburetor rebuild technician.
and faithfully run my engine dry then drain the float bowls after a day on the lake.
I don't know if it's just Vegas but the gas turns to varnish so fast here, and after paying the Honda shop in Bullhead $300 to fix it the last time, I spent some time on a Saturday with Eric Peterson at Specialty Marine in Oxnard. He gave me the carb rebuild and cleaning training so I can do it myself. wasn't too hard, and saved a bunch of $$$$$.
I've been checking the board but haven't had much to chime in about
Lets see if I can change that.
Did you see the fish AC got at Willow last week?
50 LBS. Nice picture in Western Outdoor News.
Mile 43 I believe. on a AC Castaic trout
