I have a civic with an Acura integra engine that has about 145 hp and bout 130 ft tq and i have always wonder if my car would be able do handle a small alum boat up to some of canyons like deer creek and Jd.

I have a 12' aluminum with a 15 hp 4-stroke and I bet a Volkswagon Beetle could just about pull it. I am sure you can pull a light setup like that. Plus, a light setup like that can be winched most of the way onto the trailer and keep your car from backing in too deep. Just my .02

I think you could do it. You may not be able to do it quickly but it should not be an issue. Probably no more than putting a couple of guys in the back that weigh 240-250 lbs each.

You should be fine as long as you can get a good hitch. I had a 14 ft aluminum boat that I pulled with an old 4cyl, 78 Subaru wagon, I'm sure the motor wasn't any bigger than 100 horse and it wasn't fast going up hill but did fine on the freeway. With 145 hp you should be fine.

check your owners manual it will give you tow ratings for your car.
