I fish the Jordan River a little futher in the city but i'm sure you can use the same tatics.I prefer to use chicken liver for catfish. worms will work for any fish in the Jordan. I don't really lure fish in the Jordan but try spinners or rappalas. There is alot of differant species in the Jordan. Catfish, carp, walleye, white bass, trout,. I've caught walleye while fishing for cats with liver,I also caught an 8 pound catfish last summer night fishing the Jordan River. Thats what I love about this river you never Know what you're going to catch!![cool]-TIBBZZ-

ive been to midas pond several times with my daughter and its great for kids but if i'm just going out on my own i want to go somewhere without all the kids throwing rocks in the pond and tangling my line and all the other crowds. i just want as much solace as one could hope for in the middle of the city if ya know what i mean. and thanx for the advice, are there walleye all through the whole stretch of the river or do they stay towards utah lake?

I seen about a 8# walleye caught about as far north as the airport . Myself I never hooked a eye in that river . I have caught some white bass , catfish and carp on jigs and spinners . Try panther martins . Look for water that has some structure or cover . Down tree branch , rocks and such .Also look for creeks that dump in to the Jordan . tight lines
