I just got a motorguide digital 82# and yesterday went to UL fishing and when I hit the water I see my trolling motor directional pointer is out of sync with the motor. Any ideas how to get it back in sync so it reads the right direction to go......

Contact Motor Guide, but what you will have to do is take the top off the motor. There is a gear where the control cables attach and you will need to adjust that. I had the same problem with my Minn Kota when it came back from the factory. just don't do it on the water where you can drop something into 100 plus feet. It is not to difficult once you see how things work under the cover.

Took me about 1 minute tonite to fix the directional pointer. Just lift top off and align the motor staight forward and spin pointer in correct direction and then slide down slowly and move the pointer back and forth just a little. Replace three screws and Fixed in about 1 minute.... thanks for the info...
