HELP! Deep sea fishin'

I am trying to plan a trip for my husband and father in-law to go deep sea fishing. They didn't have any luck last year- (went out for half days on separate fishing trips to Charleston, SC and Oak Island, NC) with no luck (partly due to weather and partly due to the charter) Can anyone recommend THE BEST charter for deep sea fishing in SC, or anywhere else for that matter? Also when (Month/time) is it best to go?? I think at this point they will go anywhere (within reason) for a good fishing trip. They were even talking to someone about Acapulco but neither one of them have passports.

Hi TNGURL and welcome to Bigfishtackle.

The East coast fishing is kind of slow right now due to the atmospheric disturbances and the Hurricane season.

If you are willing to go as far as Acapulco, then I could probably help to stop you a few miles shorter from there.

Southern California fishing is on fire right now. (Some fires in the hills too.

In the Los Angeles/ Long Beach/ Ventura areas, the fishing is like gang busters.

Let me know if you would consider it and I can get you some phone numbers to call for charters.
