Just beautiful. Forget perchies, bluegills, bass, and kitties. Trout is where it's at!

I am guessing Henry's Lake - this can be where in the Mountainous West am I, like the Utah version currently being played.

Nice fish (As usual).
The 1st and 3rd pics are cutts not bows. The 2nd looks like a bow or maybe a hybrid. [signature]

Thanks Everet, I don't have a clue. I would have thought the BROWN ones were Yellowstone cutts, but you work here so I trust you.
Tell Lynn, the biggest of them all this morning same 300 mark. Wind kicked up real good, but the good news it was blowing us into the launch. BAM! fish on and spooled me...several feet into the backing. I managed to get it back on the line and finally, against the wind all the way, up to the boat. Alan was fighting trying to get to me. It was horizontal in front of me from one pontoon to the other so guessing around 32" . But, the minute I put the net in the water, the 6 lb. Fluoro snapped....DANG IT! But, you know I don't make up size. I decided this weekend...it is no longer called "FISHING" it is now called "OH SH*&$"[laugh] Oh yeah, it was on the little Gartside Gurgler (Tadpole in green) all others were on Lynn's Softhackle, except I made the head out of Peacock. So the 1st and 3rd are sterile hybrids (Cutt eggs fertilized with Kamloops)??? And the 2nd is a natural hybrid???
Just trying to get my species right. Thanks for the help, Matt [signature]

Those three pictures up there I'm about 99 percent sure they are hybrids. I did the spawning thing up at henrys and I'm pretty sure damon would have called them hybrids. I will e mail him these pictures and find out for sure.
Thats awesome about the big fish! That day when I went with you guys I got CRUSHED on my first drift. I tried to set the hook but that extra tension broke the 2x clean off. There sure are a lot of nice fish in there. [signature]

I am pretty sure they are all sterile hybrids. There aren't any rainbows in henrys. I will e mail these three pictures to the lake biologist and see what he says. I promise to let you know.

Lynn confirmed what I thought. There are HYBRIDS (cutt/kamloop) Yellowstone Cutt, and Brookies. I just figured the ones with the more silver and red strip were the Hybrid. The dark brown with ORANGE slashes are the Cutts.

So he said those three were hybrids? They just don't look at all like the dark brown straight cutts and look identical to all the hybrids.
The cutts and brookies are pretty easy to tell. I haven't heard from Damon yet but will let you know what he says asap [signature]

No, Lynn I don't think, has seen the pictures. As for me, like I said I have no idea. To me, I only question the first and last, but they do have that rainbow stripe.

The only thing that really makes them look like hybrids is their green coloration and how there is no brown in either. I'm still waiting to hear from Damon.
