Best day on Willard this year
#1
I ask 5 different people to go fishing this weekend but could not work it out for a lot of different reasons so I waited until the last minute of the last day that I could go and finally went by myself. I got out there at 3pm today and hit a spot that Henries8 made a reported about from last Wednesday. Started trolling and after 30 min I started to notice wipers slapping the surface. It started off slowly,

And little by little the surface activity increased.

By the time I stopped taking pictures and decided to stop trolling, it was an all out boil.
I did not take any picture of the really big boils because I was busy casting[Wink].
I did take a picture of one of the wipers but it was harder than I thought, I'm not sure how TubeDude does it.

The action was the best I've seen this year and went on for over two hours, my wrists are still hurting me. I had a lure that I was trolling hanging over the side and they even hit it, it was unbelivable. What a great afternoon at the bay.

Curt, looks like you were putt'in a hurt'in on the Wipers today. I was wishing that all of the work was done, but it will take at least till the end of this week before I can get things ready to go out again. Thanks for the invite, hated to turn you down. I'm glad you had a good day.

No problem my friend but you really missed out on a good trip, maybe next time. Hopefully you will get all the work done before the Salsa boyz get together.
Brody, I did think about contacting you but by the time the last person said no, it was just before I left. I guess if I had your phone number I could have given you a call but I don't.

Wow Curt, sounds like a great day of wiper fishing. Reminds me of the day we had out there together recently. Only difference was on that trip you only caught one wiper on that trip and I lost the only wiper hit that I had![Wink]

Try it now Tony, I was resizing the pictures right when you were viewing them.
Kent, too bad you did not come with me, instead of going
sturgeon fishing, you could have saved some money and caught more fish[Wink].

Curt, I will be ready to fish Bear Lake in a week or so. I want to get up there before that to check a few things out.

There were no other boats within 1/2 mile or more from me until the boils started in earnest then one small boat came over and joined in the fun but surprising to me they left while the boils were still going. It looked like a couple of older guys and they left as soon as they got their limits[:/]. I haven't made any plans for the weekend yet, I might be heading up to Bear lake. It is almost too much to ask for, two good trips to Willard in a row but I guess you never know.
Chad- I think I was out there on a different day than you were but no, I did not have a radio on.

My bad, I was thinking you went out there on Saturday. If you were there until 4:30 I'm really surprised I did not see you.
