5 Lake Weekend
#1
Started out on Pelican on Friday and totaly killed the largemouth ( probably around a 50 bucket mouth day ), and caught around 20 really nice Blugill. Water temp was 71 Degrees and the water is Looooooowwwww ( be careful in your boats ). By the way we fished top water all day long for bucket mouths. Moved on over to Stieneker saturday morning and caught a nice 3 pounder large mouth right off the bat and that was it. Water temp was around 60 to 62 degerees so probably another week for that lake. Did see alot of crusing bass just no takers. It did look like a few beds were begining to be cleaned off. Around 10:30 we headed for Red Fleet. Water temp 59 to 61 and the water is coming up and some what muddy. Caught around 12 bass. two real nice ones about 4 and 5 pounds. In fact they were shooting film for an outdoor channel episode and I got on it actually catching the 4 pounder . Hows that for luck huh. First time there and what a beautiful lake. Used cranks, spinner baits and wacky hooked 7" worms. From there we headed for Starvation and launched and got blown all over the lake and had a hard time even casting so we packed up and headed for Heber and stayed the night. Got on Jordenelle around 7:00 A.M and went smallie huntin. Water temp is a balmy 48 degrees. Caught 4 smallies and the wind again began to kick up so around noon we packed up and headed for home. All in all a very productive and fun weekend.

Sweet report Scooter. I never made it up there. [mad] But now I really wish I did. What top water baits did you get them on? Top water action rocks.
