Northern Wisconsin new guy
#1
Hi All!
Looks like a cool site! I'm a guide and restorer of vintage canoes in Northern Wisconsin. Looks like a great site for lots of different resources. Look forward to posting fishing reports, etc.

Hunting season is over and I made it on to the ice yesterday.....barely. My first step off of a marshy shoreline plunged knee deep into some primal ooze that had not frozen. Cut my ice time down, for sure. 6+ inches of ice on the lake. I chalked it up as a "practice run"!

Best fishes to you all!
Dave

Welcome to the site Dave, thanks for taking the time to register and telling us something about yourself. Yea, BFT is one of the best fishing sites around with a lot of resources and it you get involved with your state site, it can be even better. There have been several folks from your state board with fishing questions lately that would love to read your ice fishing report, would you mind also posting it there. Thanks for your interest in BFT, here is a link to your state board in case you haven't already found it. WH2

[#008000][Image: happy.gif]Hi there canoes9 & welcome to the BFT. Find it interesting that you restore old canoes. As a kid a few of my friends had canvas canoes and them one year Knut shows up on the lake with an aluminum canoe. Wow we wondered what would be next. Well next came a square back canoe. Guess a lot has changed over the years in that industry. BTW here is a link to the Kayak_Canoe forum.[/#008000]
