monster splake report

i had a funny feeling that Joe's Valley would be iced up.. so me and a buddy headed up this morning to give it a good working over.. good call on our part!

ice was very scary about 2 1/2 to 3 inches but soft in a lot of spots.. we had to check the ice any time we moved any where out there today..

well on to the monster splake! not 1 not 2 but 3 splake came in today that were monster's one 25" one 26" and one 27 1/2".. i coght the 2 bigger ones.. keep the 27 1/2 let the 26" go.. then my buddy said i should have put it in for C&R record.. i said no i dont want that one.. about 10 min's later he pulled in the 25 incher.. and said i'll take the record if you dont want it.. so he is going to be putting in for that i guess..lol

we caught a ton of fish today.. they would come in in schools some the big fish were in, most were small..

tube jig and chub was best all day!..

the ice hut is my buddy's hut.. he realy likes it. i dont like hutt's that much but my quickfish 3 i like better just becouse it has a lot more room..
