Most of you know, that I work for a specialized travel agency - for which we book clients into fishing lodges.
My most recent clients stayed at Casa Vieja Lodge in Guatemala this past week 03-09 January. What is truly amazing is that with very little instruction from the captain and mates they were able to release 18 sails in one day.
Pointers were given by Nick Smith and Jake Jordan both of whom were fishing down there as well.
Now they fished hard for the first hundred sails they released the first three days of their trip, but it was the 18 on fly that drew the most interest.
They finished their trip with 235 sails raised, 190 bites and 145 releases!
We encourage the conventional anglers to try the fly. They'll be back next year fishing strictly fly.
