Hey all-
A non-fishing friend of a friend has invited us out to his cabin cruiser for poker game on the back deck for an evening. Think: cards, cold beer, cigar and of course...
Dropping a line over the rail while I'm playing. We are not planning on leaving the marina and I'll be the only fishing-man in the crowd (criminal, I know). In old days (what, maybe 13 years ago?) another friend and I would drop a simple rig with a 'chunk-a-chovy' down 30-40 feet or so, and that worked great in the evenings, if the fish were not always very big.
I'm writing to see if anyone had any additional, better or other ideas for this setup? I was told the water is near 70 feet.
If all goes well, I'll have a bunch of converts on my hands and we'll be running that ship all over the lake this summer. Right? I'll hand the pole off and say "You reel this one. I've got a good hand" and they will be hooked, so to speak.
Thanks in advance, pics will follow.
