Went to Mackay on the fourth . Caught 15 , kept 5 . The edges are getting soft , I had to use my ramps to get my 4 wheeler on the ice . There is a good 24" of solid ice . If we get a cold snap the edges should firm back up . Curt G.

The Brook was 12" . Yes I was close to the dam . I thought the water would be deeper on that cliff , it wasn't . It was only 18 to 20 feet deep . I caught several small brook trout . Last week I was just out from the main boat dock about 100 yard north of the permanent shantys and about 10 yards out from the bank and the water was 30' deep and I caught several small Kokannee . I was trying to find bigger trout this week so I am trying new places . I am just learning the lake . Next time I think I will try the north end of the lake where the water comes in the lake .
