ya the bear, we had a couple other hits but didnt hook them. we very well could of been pulling over carp. The water was 38 degrees so still needs to warm up a bit.

Nice fish! I don't want any trade secrets but can you give me an idea of general area on the Bear? I know they are in there and I've been wanting to try my hand at it but I don't even know where to start. Years past I caught a couple of dinks above Oneida, but they were pure accident. Thanks for any info you're willing to give.

I try to fish them on there way up then i hit the narrows, the narrows are the best place to fish them when they get there, you can probly catch small males up behind the damn right now, in the slow water by the suspension bridge. Just off the snaggs.

The spawn should be starting pretty soon! Those females are chowing it up....easy to catch right now! Bump a jig below the dam!
