Steelhead 10th thru 15th

Fished from Springcreek to Middlefork for 6 days and landed 8 fish in our group. Me and 3 others. The weather was COLD, then WINDY, then on the day I left it was beautiful. There was some pretty good action in the canyon, the water was cold and the fish were stacking up in there pretty decent. I didn't fish it because I prefer warmer places and mellower banks[Wink], and I also caught few fish because of it. When I left Sunday my brother had just arrived, he immediately caught one and caught another later on. The water was 35 degrees and rising, I wished I could go back today! I will have his report from today, later. I'm guessing with the warming water the fishing is going to light up for awhile. This might be your slot between no fish and muddy water if your thinking of going. We did land a couple nice fish this trip, my uncle's fish is 34" and 15 pounds, biggest fish I have ever held on the Salmon River. My hen was 29" and 9 pounds. The other fish were all your average 22 to 24 inchers.
