I wouldn't mind going. Does anyone have any advice for me? Where to find launch sites, what to expect floating, what to use that time of year? Help would be much appreciated.

well i hear that husky's and the damn ramp are open you could get in a float from the damn or husky's to spring creek if spring creek is open if its not open conant is only 2 miles further down. its an easy float too not to much to worry about and some killer fishing. if you need tips on what flys to use i can let you know what i use and whats popular. a dark color woolly bugger with a small beadhead nymph(i use size 20's or mabey a little bigger.) underneath (hares ear, pheasant tail, prince nymph, lightning bug, or zebra midge all produce fish for me.) what i really like to fish is a bennet's rubber leg 4-6 with one or two of those small bead heads under neath it i fish all of them on a rio 2x 10 foot leader under a big fluffy indicator that i set right where my floating line connects to my butt section.

I use something pretty similar to what Chrome_junky uses. It is probably my favorite set up and always my go to. I usually tie the bugger to 3x and the nymph to 5x or 6x though. Helps get the fly a little deeper without as much split shot. I also don't usually use a strike indicator though. Big streamers are always a good option for big fish as well. This sounds like a fun event and I am excited for it.

i forgot about that i use 5x for my dropper nymphs lol missed that one.[crazy] you are right flyfishingfool streamers work very well this time of year but i always catch more browns with them than bows. but that just might be me. im sure if you got into a good spawning bed you could pick up bows all day.
