My Grandson, FishinDawg (Sean), is on Spring Break this week so came up from Atlanta to fish with me this afternoon. We launched at the Riverpark about 2:30 and fished until 7:30. The fishing was kind of slow, but we managed 17 fish. We had 2 Lm, one about 3 lbs. I didn't weigh it so I can call it whatever I want. we also had 5 drum from 7-15 lbs ea., a white bass and the rest spots. We made a family of bank fishermen very happy with a nice mess of spots. I caught all my fish on a yellow/brown crankbait. Sean caught his fish on a Yum version of a Sweet Beaver. We beat rip-rap banks on the East side of the river. The water temp was a constant 56.5 degrees. The wind was chilly but the fellowship was warm.
My Grandson Sean just transfered from UGA to Ga Tech to persue a degree in mechanical engineering. I asked him if he wore that hat on campus and he said an emphatic "NO". I told him he wouldn't be able to show any of his Tech friends these pictures. Oh,well.
It's great fun to get to spend time with my grown-up Grandson. He turns 21 on April 1st. I'm afraid these times are going to be fewer and farther between. I hope not!!
