So its been a crazy weekend, I am officially an uncle (run for your lives, there is another Ware in the area). Got to the lake around 4pm. We fished several shallow points with no luck. Hit the ol-regular dock and caught a nice crappie that self released before it got in the boat. Moved to a cove that if close to deep water. I was switching between crappie and bass constantly depending on where we were. I caught a nice keeper bass on a rayburn red 75 in about 4 ft of water. Camera battery died so no pic. Moved around the corner and tried a honey hole I found last year, I caught 1 smaller one, Mendy caught a smaller one and we had another nice keeper that self released. Located a ton of fish by the hole that were stacked on a drop from 10ft to 20 ft, but no takers. TRied some lay downs my the bluff with no takers. Hit a few new docks near the bluffs an caught nice 13" crappie. did not keep any fish today. If I would have got the email about the red/char. I could have caught a few more probably. Good times on the water with Mendy and got the line stretched. Probably try to get Lefty out tomorrow, he is itching for some fish! Water temp was 57 ish. When I caught the bass I had just missed one on the cast before about 10 ft from the boat, but this one hit about 80ft from the boat. It sure is fun to have a lot of line out to play them.
