<br /> Headed down to Upper G hoping to find some of Catch1&#39;s smallies but that did not happen..<br /> Started the day fishing the wing wall with 3/8 lead head and grub and got in to the white bass about every cast.. Caught maybe 30-40 by 1030 AM tough fighters on light line and heavy current... two guys in a jon boat with just a trolling motor where fishing behind me but couldnt get in the current so I caught 12 more fat whites and gave them to to the two guys in the jon boat before deciding if i was going to catch some smallies I gotta move.. One of the whites was 18 1/4 inch was one of biggest i have ever seen.. Left phone in car so didnt have a pic. Went and got my phone and headed down river in hopes of a big smallie.. <br /><br /> Headed down towards South Pitt and fished points, bluffs, rockpiles and laydowns and could not get away from the white bass keep catching them... Was throwing a bright colored crankbait(this is what i caught them all on), grubs, tubes,spinnerbaits, jerkbaits and everything else in my bag.. Did manage to catch one decent spot but everything else were White Bass... They hit hard and were fun to catch.. lost count how many i had after about 40.. but sure would have liked to found some smallies..Just cant figure them out down there.. Been down there about 5 times in last 3-4 months and have yet to catch a smallie.. <br /> I guess any day you can catch over 50 fish is fun but i was disapointed just cant figure these smallies out down here..I know they are in there. No pics nothing worth showing emoBang <br />
