well we hit the hiwassee today to check it out with the side imager and try and find some crappie too.... and we did well on both emoThumbsup well by our standards anyway emoTongue

the humminbird did its job and we stayed on fish all day long ... just didnt get many keepers (5) but the shorties provided enough fun and confidence building in the humminbird about what i am seeing emoThumbsup

everywhere we saw good schools of fish (mostly bluff walls ) we caught loads of crappie (lost count) many times it was 7 or 8 casts in a row on a 10 count with a 1/16 oz jig pearl pan assassin tail dipped in chartreuse.
even got a nice 6lb drum too emoTongue .

we did stop at a bridge piling that just looked too good to pass up on the way back to the ramp. no keepers there but man a ton of fun with one short fish after another .

pics of the largest of the keepers at 13-1/2 inches (made very nice fillet) and some of the humminbird images .

put in around 10:30 am and left around 6 pm
