Well, Chris and I decided to hit the lake today since the prefrontal conditions seemed perfect. We went to where we crushed them last Tues and Wed, and where Cutthroat and I planned on winning the CBA. We caught a few fairly quickly on XR50's and one on a spinnerbait. We decided to try some new water and caught a ton of dinks and quite a few smallies. Chris also nailed a nice keeper that was just kind of hanging out in about 15ft of water. We made it back to where we started and the fish were there in force. There was a long period when we caught a fish on just about every cast. About half were good, solid keepers with some shorts thrown in. Chris also caught one pushing 5lbs that was the shortest, fattest fish I've seen in a while. I really lost count of the number of fish we caught, but it was a ton. They seemed to hit better when the wind was really howling and most were in water that was less than 3 feet deep. Quite a few were really relating to mudlines. The water temp ranged from 60-63 where we were. Even though Chris caught the biggest bass, I'm still counting it as a win for me since he also caught 2 drum, a crappie and a yellow bass. Plus, I'm just better looking. Almost every fish was caught on an XR50.
