South Fork 3-25
#1
I floated from Irwin to South Fork Lodge yesterday. It was the worst catch rate I have ever had on that river. I caught 1 whitefish on flies, and hooked a small rainbow on a rapala. My brother only caught two small ones. I usually do great, but yesterday was no good at all. I tried everything I had. Flies, jigs, spinners, rapalas, it was just plain slow. We did not see any other fisherman at all. That was a first also. Still beats work though. I hope the fish are on for the Derby this Saturday for those who are going to fish it. I went yesterday because I wanted to avoid the crowds of the derby, but maybe I should have waited.

I fished it last Sunday, around Conant. I caught 2 white fish , a brown, and a rainbow...all on a black wooly booger, sinking line, stripped slooow. That's pretty good for me, I hate using the fag rod !! That river can be very frustrating LOL
