When I&#39;m fishing for something to eat or for a fish fry I go looking for bluegills. The meat is so tender and fakey when fried with my special bisquick batter, MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Anyway, I have a couple of places at spawning time that I can catch a bunch of big ones, one day a couple of years ago I caught enough for approx. 17 lbs of fillets in one day. My question is whether anybody has a summertime pattern for big bluegills that is consistent. Once the fish are off the beds I tend to catch mostly little ones, they are good to eat but I get so little off of each fillet that it just takes too long for the amount of fish that I get per fish.<br />
